Our Mission
We want you to experience both the amazing sight, sounds and culture of Northland and the drive and enjoyment of Hybrid and Electric cars. We believe electric cars have a large role to play in the future of travel.
Enjoy Northland
Northland has so many things to enjoy. From the magnificent scenery and climate, to a myriad of things to do such as Sailing, fishing on the water to famous and spectacular golf courses, the Twin Coast Cycle Trail, museums and a great range of restaurants and other eateries.
An eco-friendly car rental service in the Bay of Islands
Blue Star Car Rentals is a NZ family owned and operated car hire company with a difference: you get the choice to hire hybrid cars and make your trip a greener one.
Our fleet consists of hybrid vehicles, including both compact hybrids and hybrid SUVs, as well as larger vehicles like a 7 seater large SUV. All our vehicles are economical, as they charge while you drive, allowing you to save more than 30% on fuel!
Based in the Bay of Islands region of New Zealand, we offer some fabulous deals if you’re looking to hire a car on your trip up north. Our cars are perfect if you’re travelling around Kerikeri, Paihia, Opua, Kaitaia, Whangarei or any other Bay of Islands town. If you’re flying in from Christchurch, Wellington or some other NZ city, you can find a ride right from the Bay of Islands airport (Kerikeri airport).
